Google may have temporarily extended the meta description character limit last year, but this is now firmly back at 155-160 characters at most. Write any more than this, and your description will appear cut off in the search results.
For effective search engine optimisation, it is best that you write 1-2 concise and compelling lines of copy for your meta description that will entice users to click through to your website from the SERPs. This is particularly important for your blog posts, where a short summary of the content will work best.

For your page title, the limit is 65 characters. You should attempt to get a couple of long-tail keywords into each title where possible, including a locational keyword, e.g. ‘it’seeze Web Design Colchester’.
