So My Website Is Live - What Now?

So you have worked with your web designer, finalising content and images for what feels like weeks, and your shiny new website is ready. What now? Well, the world isn't going to come to you...
Imagine that you are in a library. How many titles will you memorise while you are in there? How many books will you pick up to look at? How many will you take home? Now think of the world wide web in the same vein. You need to tempt people to visit you and be in as many places as possible, so that you can maximise your online visibility.
We suggest setting up Google My Business if you have not done so already. You will probably be familiar with Google listings but it may be useful to know that you can post offers to your listing as well as photos and blogs. All of which help you to stand out from the crowd.
Online directories can be a great way to reach more potential customers. By appearing in directories you are helping people to find you, therefore boosting your website, so that it appears higher in local search results. Please keep all of your contact information the same, as consistency is key across all listings. Your business name, address and phone number should always be the same otherwise Google may lower your position in the search results. Click here to see some directories that you could join.
Social media can be a way to reach people and if done correctly, can be a relatively low cost marketing tool. This article is useful as a starting point. Remember to keep your website as the centre of everything that you do on social media. So if you create a social media post, provide a link so that people can see more about your business on your website. Or if you write a blog on your website, then share it on social media, directing people back to your website to read the content.
If you are an it'seeze website client, we contact you a couple of weeks after your website has gone live to provide you with a comprehensive guide to the next steps. We also keep in touch with you regularly to ensure that you are getting the most from your website. If you think that you could do with a more personal service please give us a call for a free consultation 01206 512093.
