 Helping Local Businesses Grow Online

Hi, I'm Oliver Brock, your local it’seeze website consultant for Colchester, Ipswich and the surrounding area.

For more than 20 years, I've been helping businesses create websites that do more than simply look professional. My passion is helping business owners attract more enquiries, build trust with potential customers and create an online presence that genuinely supports their growth.

Over the years I've learned that a successful website isn't about clever design or the latest trends. It's about understanding your business, your customers and what you want to achieve.

That's why every project starts with a conversation.

I take the time to understand how your business works, who your ideal customers are and what success looks like for you. Only then do we start planning the right website and digital strategy.

 More Than Just Website Design

While I specialise in creating professional websites, I don't believe a website works in isolation.

The businesses that achieve the best results combine their website with a wider marketing strategy. That might include improving visibility in Google and AI search, building trust through customer reviews, creating useful content, networking locally, email marketing or developing other marketing channels that consistently generate enquiries.

My role is to help you understand how all these pieces fit together, so your website becomes an active part of growing your business rather than simply an online brochure.

A Personal Service From Start to Finish

One thing my clients value most is that they'll always deal directly with me.

You're not passed between departments or treated like a ticket number. From our first meeting through to launch and beyond, I'll be your point of contact, offering straightforward advice, honest recommendations and ongoing support whenever you need it.

I believe strong relationships build successful websites, and many of my clients have trusted me to support their businesses for years.

Proud to Support the Local Business Community

Being local is important to me.

As well as helping businesses with their websites, I'm actively involved in the local business community through networking, educational workshops and sharing practical marketing advice to help businesses grow.

I genuinely enjoy seeing local businesses succeed, and there's nothing more rewarding than watching a client tell me their website is generating more enquiries, winning new customers and helping their business move forward.

Let's Have a Conversation

Whether you're thinking about a brand-new website, wondering if your current site is working as hard as it should, or simply want some honest advice, I'd be delighted to help.

Let's have a conversation about your business, your goals and how we can create a website that doesn't just look great, but helps your business grow.

A Few Things You Might Not Know About Me

Over the years, I've been fortunate enough to work with hundreds of businesses across Essex and beyond. Along the way, clients often ask me the same questions, so I thought I'd answer a few of them here...

I've been helping businesses build their online presence for over 20 years. During that time I've seen the internet evolve from simple brochure websites to today's world of AI, Google Search, social media and digital marketing. While technology has changed dramatically, one thing hasn't every business still needs a website that builds trust and generates enquiries..

Not really – although I do love creating great websites.

Over the years, my role has evolved far beyond web design. Today, I help businesses understand how their website fits into their overall marketing strategy and how it can become a genuine tool for attracting enquiries and supporting business growth.

That often means discussing search engine optimisation (SEO), AI search visibility, customer journeys, conversion optimisation, content marketing and the wider marketing activities that work alongside a website to generate enquiries. After all, even the best website can't succeed if nobody knows it exists.

Alongside running my own business, I'm proud to be a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) one of the highest grades of membership awarded by the UK's leading professional marketing body. Fellowship recognises significant experience, professional achievement and an ongoing commitment to the marketing profession.

For me, it's not about collecting letters after my name. It's about giving clients confidence that the advice they're receiving is backed by decades of practical experience as well as recognised professional standards.

So yes, I build websites.

But more importantly, I help businesses create an online presence that supports their wider marketing, builds trust with potential customers and generates more enquiries.

Absolutely.

From our very first conversation through to launch and beyond, you'll deal directly with me. I believe the best websites come from understanding your business properly, and that's difficult to achieve if you're continually being passed between different departments.

Because I genuinely believe local businesses deserve a professional website backed by personal support.

it’seeze gives me the tools, design expertise and technical support of a national brand, while allowing me to provide the local, one-to-one service that my clients value. I think it's the best of both worlds.

Seeing a client's business grow.

There's nothing better than hearing someone say, "We've just had another enquiry through the website," or "People keep commenting on how professional we look now." Knowing I've played a small part in helping a local business grow is incredibly rewarding.

Very much so.

Supporting local businesses has always been a huge part of what I do, and it goes far beyond simply designing websites.

I'm proud to host Business Buzz Colchester, a monthly networking event that brings together local business owners from a wide range of industries. It's a relaxed, friendly environment where people can make new connections, share ideas and support one another without the pressure often associated with traditional networking.

Alongside Business Buzz, I regularly attend other networking events, deliver marketing talks and workshops, and enjoy sharing practical advice that helps businesses grow. Whether it's discussing websites, marketing strategy, SEO, AI search visibility or simply offering a fresh perspective on a business challenge, I'm always happy to help where I can.

I genuinely believe that strong businesses are built on strong relationships. That's why I invest so much time in supporting the local business community not because it's part of my job, but because I enjoy seeing local businesses succeed.

The more connected our local business community becomes, the stronger it is for everyone.
Early booking is recommended as spaces are limited.

The digital world never stands still, so neither do I.

I'm constantly learning about developments in AI, search engines, website technology and digital marketing to make sure my clients continue to benefit from the latest thinking. It's my job to stay ahead of the changes, so you don't have to.

No jargon. No pressure. No hard sell.

I prefer honest conversations and straightforward advice. If I think something will help your business, I'll explain why. If I don't think it's the right investment, I'll tell you that too. Building long-term relationships has always been more important to me than making a quick sale.

I don't start by looking at the design.

I ask one simple question:

"Is this website helping the business achieve its goals?"

If it's generating enquiries, building trust and supporting your wider marketing, it's doing its job. If not, we'll work out why—and more importantly, how to improve it.

When I'm not helping businesses grow online, I like making the most of the outdoors and embracing new adventures.

You'll often find me out on my bike exploring the beautiful Essex and Suffolk countryside, heading off on a paddle boarding adventure, or spending time on the water developing my sailing skills. I love the sense of freedom that comes from being outdoors, whether it's a quiet morning on the river or planning the next challenge.

Travel is another passion of mine. I enjoy discovering new places, experiencing different cultures and taking inspiration from the people and businesses I meet along the way. I believe that stepping outside your comfort zone whether through travel or new experiences—is one of the best ways to keep learning and growing.

I'm also an active member of the local Cars & Coffee community, where I've met some fantastic people who share a passion for interesting cars and good conversation. Just like business networking, it's built around bringing like-minded people together and enjoying a shared interest.

Above all, I enjoy challenging myself. Whether that's taking on a cycling adventure, working towards new sailing qualifications, climbing a mountain or learning something new, I believe personal growth never really stops.

Those experiences have shaped the way I work too. They remind me that every worthwhile journey starts with a plan, progress comes one step at a time, and the best results usually come from consistency, curiosity and enjoying the people you meet along the way.

Whether you're starting a brand-new business, wondering if your current website is pulling its weight, or simply want an honest second opinion, I'd love to hear your story.

There won't be any hard sell.

Just a relaxed conversation about your business, your goals and whether I can genuinely help.
